Bio: He is an expert in optical fiber transmission network and broadband information network. He served as vice president and chief engineer of the Ministry of information industry, telecommunications science and Technology Research Institute, vice president of Datang Telecom group. Currently serves as deputy director of the State 863 program supervision committee, the national 973 program expert advisory group members, the National Information Technology Advisory Committee members, China Communications Association, vice chairman. He is one of the first to be engaged in the research of digital communication technology.
